Something that you may or may not be aware of is my constant battle with anxiety and depression. Having never been one for meditation or visualisation I struggled to find my own healthy coping mechanisms until it was pointed out that I already have one. Every single day that I felt any level of anxiety I found myself repeating one of these following quotes, if not all. After discussing this, I realised I’d officially become one of those people who uses affirmations without even knowing it!
Today I thought I’d share my top affirmations with you, it seems silly at first but repeating these things to myself every time my mental health gets in the way has helped me cope! Hopefully it can help you too… I like to use these in conjunction with my objective thinking strategy.
I can do this
My anxiety does not define me
New experiences are valuable
My feelings are valid
I deserve to feel free and enjoy my life
I will live my life to its fullest and enjoy doing so
My happiness is important
I am doing this for me and nobody else
